Sr Marjorie BS served as a teacher in three of our schools at Maryvale Convent Kinnigoli, Madeleine Convent Mulki and Santa Cruz Convent Kulshekar, in Mangalore Province. After her retirement from teaching, she involved herself in Pastoral and Social Apostolate. She has been encountered by thousands of her students as a loving mother and teacher. She has radiated God’s love to students and people of the locality by giving them Christ and His values. She was active and full of life while teaching Catechism, attending SCC meetings, visiting families specially the sick and the poor. She tirelessly worked to rehabilitate the Alcoholic dependents of her locality thus built families of peace and joy.
The students of the Hostel found in her the traits of a loving mother. She cared for them with tender kindness and respect. She was found in front of the Blessed Sacrament and prayed unceasingly. Rosary never slipped from her hands in times of her illness. She is known for her simplicity of life and missionary zeal for souls.
She was suffering from Parkinson’s disease, high Blood Pressure and Diabetes. In the month of January 2019 she had a fall due to which she was unable to walk. She was treated at Fr Muller hospital, Kankanady and later at Concetta Hospital Kinnigoli. She became seriously ill in the month of June 2019. Later she recovered yet her health deteriorated drastically and she breathed her last on 28th July 2019 at 9.45 pm in the presence of her community sisters.
