Having accomplished her mission on earth, Sr Maria Louisa breathed her last on Sunday 10 July, 2022 at 11 am at the age of 72 and 46th year of religious life at Bethany Convent, Jayamahal, Bangalore. Sr Maria Louisa nee Louisa Mary G. hails from St Francis Xavier’s Church Chikkakammanahalli, Bangalore. She was the eighth child among the nine children of late Mr P. Paul and late Lourdmary. She had her primary and secondary school education at Gulabi School Jayamahal. She joined Bethany on 16.07.1972 and made her First Profession on 05.05.1976. During the past 6 years she was suffering from chronic diabetes mellitus disease and was undergoing dialysis at St Martha’s hospital, Bangalore. On 9 July 2022, she showed symptoms of uneasiness after the dialysis and on 10th morning her condition grew critical; she suffered cardiac arrest and left to her eternal abode. Hearing this news, I who was present for the Educators’ Meet rushed to Bethany Convent Jayamahal along with Sr Sahana the Provincial Superior and Sr Severine Superior of the community to commend her soul to God.
