October 30, 2017: 27th of October, 2017 was a grace-filled day for Bethany in the Delegation Abroad. On this day, the new Delegation Team was installed by Sr. Rose Celine, our Superior General of the Congregation- Sr Carmella, the Delegation Superior was installed for a second term of office with the Councillors- Sr Latha, Sr Lucy Maria, Sr Anita Martis and Sr Jossy Maria, at St Laurentius, Aachen, Germany. A meaningful hour of prayer was led by Sr ShanthiPriya, the General Councillor, which gave us an impetus to walk in the footsteps of the Master- Jesus. Thereafter, the Holy Eucharist was celebrated in thanksgiving. The Delegation Abroad consists of 60 sisters in 15 communities of Germany, Italy, France (Europe), Mauritania and Senegal (North West Africa), who keep the flame of faith burning by serving the sick, the aged, migrants, refugees, prisoners, children, youth and women. After being empowered by the Lord, and by the prayerful support of sisters, they were felicitated with a short cultural programme. Sr Rose Celine, the Superior General, appreciated the daring ýes´ of Sr Carmella and her team, and infused in them the courage to carry on the responsibility in the challenging situation of the modern world. She called on the sisters to persevere in their commitment and reflect the compassionate face of Jesus in the world, where the religious values are fast deteriorating. She thanked Sr Blecilla the assistant Delegation Superior for her notable services for two terms of office. SrCarmella voiced out her sentiments of gratitude from the abundance of her heart to God, for the support received from the Congregation and the sisters of the Delegation. SrLucy Maria expressed her thanks to the entire gathering from the pearls of her wisdom. Sr Daisy Maria compeered to the programme. This historic event came to its climax by sharing of a delicious meal. We pray that the new team be guided and overshadowed by the Holy Spirit, Blessed Mother the Queen Mother of Bethany and our Fr Founder the Servant of God intercedes for them. May St Therese, the patroness of the Delegation,shower roses on all the members.
