Bangalore 27, Feb 2018:The Province Assembly of Bangalore Province took place from 9th to 11th February 2018. 38 Sisters, both superiors and headmistresses, participated in the assembly. This significant event commenced with an hour of prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. Sr Bonita, the Provincial Superior of Bangalore Province, invited the Sisters to focus on the Theme: Spirituality of Ministry, Collaboration and Team work.She urged the members to be like Jesus by an intense life of prayer and self-denial and to give Jesus to people in our mission. Mr Robinson D’Souza, Legal Consultant, Bengaluru Karnatakaexplained the POCSO Act with numerous examples. Sr ShanthiPriya, The General Coordinator for pastoral, social and medical apostolate focused on the theme of the province assembly with examples from the life of the Founder.She pointed out that we are partners in the mission of Jesus. Emphasis was on team building and collaboration for the effectiveness of the mission.
Thereafter, the Provincial and the Sisters of the Province felicitated the Jubilarians and offered special prayers for them and thanked God for the Golden years of Sr Joyline and Silver years of Sr Sahana and Sr Helen Rebello. Thanksgiving Eucharistic celebration on behalf of the Jubilarians was offered by Rev. Fr SwebertD’Silva SJ. Sr Susan, the Coordinator for education, Sr Sahana, the Coordinator for formation, Sr Prescilla, the Coordinator for pastoral, social and medical apostolates, Sr Therese, the Province Procurator, Sr Wilma and Sr Jyothi Mary were the resource persons. At the end of the assembly the leaders were rejuvenated to lead like Jesus by mirroring the spirit of Christ in our communities and in our ministries.
