V U Bethany College, Manmow Namsai witnessed a significant milestone during its Twin Jubilee year as a small yet stately structure of the Staff quarters was inaugurated on 25 May, 2024. Most Rev George Pallipparambil, Bishop of Miao Diocese blessed the new building with gratitude and praise to God while Sr Benedicta Aranha, the Provincial Superior of Guwahati Province inaugurated the quarters in the presence of Sr Shwetha, the Asst. Provincial Superior, Sr Janet, the Superior and Principal of the College, priests and sisters from the neighbouring communities, the faculty members of the college and the students. The mission experienced the manifold blessings of God through the instrumentality of many well-wishers and benefactors on this blessed day. The toil of a year and half was brought to completion providing suitable accommodation for the faculty members from distant districts of Arunachal Pradesh so that their committed labour in academic endeavours bears fruit.
This institution of higher education has faced the growing pains and it’s a matter of satisfaction that the youth of East Arunachal benefit from the quality education imparted by the college. Nearly 866 students are graduated from the college over the years making a difference in the society. In his message on the occasion, the Bishop of the diocese urged the young students and the teachers to give their very best for the transformation of the society. Arunachal Pradesh has a long way to contribute especially for the building up of human resource, which is the need of the hour. Sr Benedicta Aranha, the Provincial Superior expressed her appreciation for the support of the bishop in the steady progress of the mission.
Sr Janet compeered the programme and welcomed the dignitaries and all the invitees. The contractor and the helpers were applauded for their committed services. The Province remains grateful to Rev Sr Rose Celine, the Superior General, the General Councillors and the Procurator General for the support over the years and to all the benefactors. May Bethany Grow, Flower and bear Fruit !
