The Blessing and Inauguration of the extension of Bethany Convent School building, Pakhal, Faridabad Northern Province on 09th September 2023 was an occasion of thanksgiving and celebration. Sr Erasma, the Provincial Superior and Corporate Manager, Sr Arpan, the Asst Provincial Superior, Sr Rose Margaret, the Councillor, Sr Helen D’Costa the Provincial Councillor and Province Education Coordinator, Sr Gracy D’Souza the Provincial Procurator, Sr Jyoti the former Provincial Superior and Sr Chantal the former Provincial Councilor, Sr Reshmi the Local Manager of the school, sisters from nearby communities, priests, staff, students, parents, well-wishers and benefactors and the construction team who made a significant contribution for this milestone were present on the happy occasion.It was a happy coincidence that the Closing Ceremony of the Platinum Jubilee of Bethany Educational Society was organized on this blessed day. Rev Fr Ravi Kota, the Parish Priest, Rev Fr Anthony Francis and Rev Fr John OCD led us in prayer and blessed the interior of the building.
Sr Erasma BS, the Provincial Superior and the Corporate Manager of the Northern Province inaugurated the building by cutting the ribbon and unveiling the plaque.Sr Maria, the principal welcomed the gathering and thanked God for the fulfillment of the prophetic dream of the servant of God Raymond FC Mascarenhas in this part of North India. Sr Erasma, the Provincial Superiorcommended the teachers for their commitment and dedicated service in the field of Education and felicitated the Architect, Engineer, the Contractor and Supervisors for their diligent labour.
The celebration of the closing of the Platinum Jubilee was a joyous occasion marked by the reminiscenceof thelegacy of the past 75 years of Bethany Educational Society built on commitment, resilience and hard work of our revered Founder, the Servant of God Raymond FC Mascarenhas and the Pioneers- Mother Martha, Sr Clare, Sr Lourdes, Sr Gertrude and hundreds of sisters, and their collaborators, whoare the cornerstone of our accomplishments.Thereafter followed the cultural programme to mark the Jubilee which displayed the theme and priorities of the Platinum Jubilee Year, which is a testimony to the commitment of the sisters guided by the management. Sr Rose Celine, the Superior General and President of Bethany Educational Society ® and the council of management was remembered with gratitude. The performance of the students was a testimony to the all-round education imparted in this prestigious portal of learning.
Gratitude was expressed for all those who contributed to the growth of the school in various ways. Sr Rose Celine, the Superior General and her team, Sr Erasma the Provincial Superior and the council, the Procurator General, Province Procurators, and Sisters, the staff, students and parents and everyone who was part of actualizing the dream of our dear Fr Founder FC Mascarenhas. May God be glorified through Bethany.
