April 15, 2017 : PEDRU’ a Mono act displayed at Bethany Mother House can be expressed as a special event for us Bethany Sisters and well-wishers who came to watch a meaningful, and heart-breaking religious drama “PEDRU” written by Fr Alwyn Serrao, Principal of Padua College, directed and enacted by Christopher Ninasam, at 6.30 pm at St Raymond’s Hall, Bethany Mother House. Indeed, I may not be wrong to admit that this drama as a soul searching drama, depicting the vivid scenes from the life of St Peter, the Apostle of Jesus Christ. Though it was a 90 minutes drama, the entire stage was occupied by a single actor, and the audience was kept spell-bound with what they saw and witnessed.
The prompt replies given by the audience to the questions posed by the actor and the words of appreciation expressed by a few members on behalf of the group at the end of the drama, indicate the wonderful effect and the valuable impression this drama has left in the hearts of the audience. The presence of our Bishop Aloysius P. D’Souza during the play doubled our joy. Kudos to Christopher Ninasam, for your wonderful performance and Fr Alwyn Serrao, for the inspiration and courage to venture into such a noble act.
