‘The Marians’ were blessed with a wonderful occasion of Golden Jubilee Celebrations on 15th and 16th of November 2019. It was a dream come true. The struggles and sacrifices of many Sisters, staff and people around proved to be fruitful to proclaim its glory on those days.
 
These days saw some of the most remarkable things. One such occasion was the speech of Sr Rose Celine, the Superior General of Bethany Congregation, the chief guest of the day. She was full of praise for what Mary Mount has achieved through these years by the selfless efforts of the Sisters of Bethany and the Staff. She insisted to be focused on the vision, goal and core values. We also had the opportunity to listen to the distinguished people like Brig. Vinod Commander 23 Assam Riffles and R. Lalthanmawia SDEO Aizawl South, who have made great contributions in their specific field of action.

Second day, 16th November 2019, Eucharistic Celebration in the Cathedral was officiated by Most Rev. Stephen Rotluanga, the Bishop of Aizawl, followed by the blessings of the memorial stone depicting 50 Golden years. The inauguration of the plaque was jointly done by Mr Lalchhandama Ralte, the Honourable Minister of Education, Mizoram, and Sister Rose Celine, the Superior General of Bethany Congregation. The Chief Guest of the day, Mr Lalchhandama Ralte appreciated every Marian member for putting up such a wonderful programme. He urged the Sisters and teachers to carry forward the School Motto Love one another what they have done all through these years and equip the children to face the challenges of the future. On the stage we had speeches from Sister Joy, The Provincial Superior, North East Province, Most Rev. Bishop Stephen Rotluanga and Sister Rose Celine the Superior General.

Both the days witnessed some of the most remarkable performances by the talented students of Mary Mount School. The children took every one to a vibrant kaleidoscope which made everybody spellbound. There were spectacular shows touching every aspect of life. We can proudly say that the Golden Jubilee celebration of Mary Mount would surely imprint a lasting impression on everybody’s mind.
