November 05.11.2017 was a historical day for the Congregation as it opened its 183rd branch house in the soil of Chattisgarh and a red-letter day to the Eastern Province as it is the first new house after its carving out of Northern Province. Most Rev Emmanuel Kerketta Bishop of Jashpur officiated the Eucharistic celebration and Sr Shaila Provincial Superior read the Decree of Erection during the mass. After the mass parish community welcomed the sisters, organized a beautiful and meaningful programme with the active participation of the youth, children, men and women. It was heart touching to see the joy of the people to welcome our sisters with love and affection. Sr. Anita Soren was installed as a Superior, Sr. Winnifred and Sr. Grace Xalco the members of the community. Around 25 Bethany Sisters from 7 communities were present to witness this event, 12 capuchin priests, along with the sisters and priest from the deanery.
