Rt Rev Bishop Cyprian Monis of Asansol Diocese had proposed to the then Superior General Sr Jyoti BS to have a second house in his diocese and to have a school of their own. Making use of this opportunity, on 8 February 2006, Sr Noeline, the then Assistant Provincial Superior with the help of Fr. Henry Rodrigues, the then priest in-charge of Dhitpur Parish purchased a plot of land between Talbona and Parulia by the side of Katwa-Kalna road.
On 22 April Sr Canisia, the then Provincial Superior, along with Sr Noeline and Sr Selina the Councilors registered the land in favour of the Congregation.
Nursery class was formally opened on 8 May 2006 with 34 students. Sr Noeline, the Asst Provincial Superior along with a few sisters from the neighbouring communities were present on this occasion.
On 31 May 2006, the community was canonically erected. Rt Rev Bishop Cyprian Monis of Asansol Diocese was invited for the Eucharistic Celebration. Fr Sarto and Fr Martin Behera concelebrated with the Bishop. During the Mass, Sr Canisia, installed Sr Hildegard as the first Superior of the newly formed community and Sr Assumpta Maria and Sr Sunita Jyothi as members.
On 1 March 2009, Sr Noeline, Provincial Superior laid the foundation stone for the Primary and High School block. Mr Haldar the Contractor and his son Mr Anjan, Mr Amiyo the Architect, and a few labourers were present.
The tiny plant has grown steadily. Now we have around 1005 students and 52 teaching and non-teaching staff. The School is registered under CBSE Board, Delhi. We also have a social work centre as a Schools extension service to the poor and marginalized. Through this centre we organize tailoring classes, Spoken English classes and literacy classes to the children of brick kiln labourers. The sisters are engaged in Pastoral works.
Meanwhile, the construction of the School building was completed and was formally blessed and inaugurated on 6 February 2014. The Sisters are accommodated in the old nursery block as a separate convent is yet to be constructed.
In the Year 2012 Sr Ordilia was appointed Superior of the Convent and Sr Saritha Principal of the School. In 2015 Sr Claudius was installed as the Superior. Thus six sisters in the community collaborate and work hand in hand to reach out to the people of this area through educational, social and pastoral care.
