Rosa Mystica April 12, 2018: On April 11, 2018 at 10.00 am during the Eucharistic celebration, officiated by Rev. Fr Alfred Menezes, OCD, eight Novices of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany, Mangalore, made their Temporary Profession, at Rosa Mystica Convent Chapel.
There were around fourteen priests who concelebrated at the Holy Eucharist who were the relatives, parish priests, vocation promoters or well-wishers of the novices. Their parents, brothers, sisters and relatives were also present. The novices accompanied by their beloved parents approached the Altar for the Eucharistic Celebration, a meaningful and symbolic gesture of the offering of their daughters to the service of God in the Church. A very meaningful homily was preached by the main celebrant after the Gospel reading, highlighting the importance of living the three Evangelical Counsels of Poverty, Chastity and Obedience and congratulating the generous and bold step they have taken to commit themselves to the service of God and humanity and also congratulating their parents for the great sacrifice they have made in offering their beloved children to the Lord. The vows of the novices were received by Rev. Sr M. Cicilia Mendonca BS, the Provincial Superior of the Mangalore Province, in the name of the Church. The happy celebration came to an end with a felicitation programme and a fellowship meal.
