Feb 13,2017: 23rd January 2017! A bright winter’s morning ushering in joy and celebrations. The stage was set with elegant picture of our beloved Founder, the Servant of God. The children from the nearby government school arrived to the venue along with their teachers. They were around 140 children and 5 teachers.
After a brief introduction by Miss Sabrina, the games for children began class wise. Children participated with joy and enthusiasm. Teachers too were happy to see their students totally engaged in games.
After the games Sr Veronica spoke to the children, teachers and a few villagers who had come to witness the event. In her speech she appreciated the students and encouraged them to love and respect their parents, siblings, teachers, neighbours and the nature. She brought to their awareness the wasting of water she had witnessed when she visited their families. She instructed them how to stop this wasting water. She exhorted the children to have a purpose in life and to be focused on this purpose as they study, work and play. She thanked the Sarpanch Mrs Varnika Devi, the government school teachers and villagers who were present. Then the prizes were distributed for the winners and sweets were distributed for all.
