The zeal for the mission enabled the sisters to launch into another mission station of Kadaba in Puttur, situated in Kodimbala village. Rev Fr Lawrence Gomes, the parish priest of St Joachim’s Church Kadaba, was amazed at the joyful disposition of the Bethany sisters to work in missions and welcomed them to open a community which was canonically erected on 31st May 1972, the feast of the Visitation of Mother Mary. The pioneers were Sr Avina, Sr Philomen and Sr Emiline. Sr Avina was installed as the superior by Rev Mother Macrina who was present on the occasion.
The parish priest felt the need of the presence of the sisters especially to take care of the orphanage and also the school. The foundation stone for the convent building was laid by Rev Fr Lawrence Gomes on 9th August, 1974 and on 9th August, 1975 it was inaugurated by the Bishop Most Rev Dr Basil D Souza.
In 2003 the parish priest Rev Fr Alexander Lewis started VIII Std and also an English Medium School when the need for such an institution was felt by the parishioners. Sr Anita Lydia was given the charge of Kinder Garden. As a result of these developments there is an increase in the admissions to both Primary and High School each year. In the year 2006 a new school building was inaugurated and a Pre-University College was started. At present sisters give their generous services to the school and locality.
